Hands-On Learning:
The Crooked Tree Museum provides opportunities for students to engage with the “stuff” of history- objects that tell the story of the lower Belize River Watershed and the people who have lived here for the last 10,000 years. The museum also provides hands-on learning opportunities for students to touch, feel, and experience history first-hand.
National Curriculum Standards:
Exhibits in the Crooked Tree Museum were designed in consultation with Belizean educators to ensure that the content aligns with national curriculum standards for Social Studies.
Connecting the Museum Content to Your Course of Study:
We believe that museums can offer a strong complement to the learning that happens at school. We are happy to work with teachers to develop ways to connect your current educational planning with a visit to the Crooked Tree Museum. Contact us for more information
Group Rates Available:
Special group rates are available for school groups of 20 or more students, and teachers visiting with these groups visit for free! Contact us at CrookedTreeMuseum@gmail.com, or via Facebook Messenger, to find out more and schedule your visit.
